Silvia De Bernardi, plastic artist and psychoanalyst, descendant of a family of sculptors from Osvalda, in the north of Italy, was born in Argentina and at present resides in Buenos Aires.

A psychoanalyst by profession at present, she has been developing her passion for painting since her early childhood with her first mentor, her father, who taught her all the secrets of perspective, the use of space and colours.

She has done thorough research on the techniques used by the Classical painters, in particular the period running from 1400 to 1600.

The Human Anatomy is the central theme in her work, both in the portraits as well as in the nudes, done in oil on canvas. She uses infinity of glazing, transparencies and shades overlapping colours and hues.
